Catalog Description: This course is designed for teachers who want to learn more about using EdTech in the classroom. Students will explore six online tools that can increase student engagement and learning. The information in this course can be used in any class as an alternative to traditional assignments.
Required Text(s) and Other Materials: Laptop or Desktop computer with a microphone and webcam
Course Objectives:
1. The student will create and design projects for classroom use.
2. The student will design lesson plans & project examples, while identifying ways to implement the following tools in their classroom:
a. Kahoot
b. Thinglink
c. Padlet
d. Quizizz
e. EdPuzzle
f. Screencastify
3. The student will design, record, create, and edit multiple screencast videos for use in their classroom.
4. The students will use technology to foster collaboration within their classroom.
5. The students will implement curriculum methods and strategies that use technology to maximize student learning
6. The students will use technology to facilitate learning beyond the walls of the classroom.
