Catalog Description: This course is designed to give teachers an introduction to podcasts and how they can be used in the classroom. Students will explore what a podcast is, how to listen and subscribe to a podcast, and how to create a podcast. Additionally, students will explore different ways for their students to create podcasts to show learning and understanding.
Required Text(s) and Other Materials:·Computer (for course materials) & smart phone, iPad, or another tablet device
Course Objectives:
1. The student will design lesson plans & project examples incorporating podcasts.
2. The student will create and design practical projects for classroom use.
3. The student will create differentiated lesson topics to be used in their class.
4. The student will use technology to foster collaboration within their classroom.
5. The student will implement curriculum methods and strategies that use technology to maximize student learning
6. The student will use technology to facilitate learning beyond the walls of the classroom.
