Course Description:
This graduate course builds on foundational knowledge of artificial intelligence in education, moving beyond initial integration toward strategic, innovative, and transformative practice. Students will explore cutting-edge AI tools and systems emerging in 2026, including multimodal generative AI, intelligent tutoring systems, real-time feedback platforms, and adaptive learning environments.
Emphasizing both pedagogy and practice, the course focuses on designing AI-enhanced learning experiences that improve student engagement, personalization, and assessment. Students will develop advanced skills in prompt design, workflow automation, data-informed instruction, and human–AI collaboration, while critically evaluating the ethical, legal, and equity implications of AI use in educational settings.
Through hands-on projects and applied case studies, participants will create scalable, discipline-specific implementations of AI that align with learning objectives and institutional goals. By the end of the course, students will be prepared to lead AI innovation in their educational contexts and to translate emerging technologies into meaningful, responsible classroom practice.
