Successful coaching goes beyond simply know the skill requirements. The profession requires the coach to successfully organize, lead and motivate their athletes. It has been said that to be an excellent coach, one has to be an excellent teacher. Learn to teach tactical and technical skills basketball so that you can be a next-level basketball coach. Effectively design practice, in-season, off-season plans, and game plans. An important focus is on skill demonstration and error detection as participants learn to develop practice plans and complete other assignments to apply the learning immediately...in class or on the court! 

Course includes in-game strategy, out- of- time-out strategy, preparation of your team for the season. Multiple ways of evaluating players strengths and weaknesses and finding a role for each player on your team This course will give coaches concentrated time to find out what group works well together and discussing leadership roles. Team bonding and building lasting relationships with players will also explored.

Quick Reference Guide

Step 1: Register for your course with your Provider (to include payment made to the Provider).

Step 2: Complete the online registration with CSU-Pueblo at https://secure.csupueblo.edu/extendedstudies/RegistrationForm-TEP.asp. Once you submit, you will receive an email confirming your registration. There will be a registration number in this email, and it may be helpful to document it. You need only register ONCE per course you’re taking.

Step 3: Following your online registration, you can expect a follow-up email that will provide you with your PID number. You can expect this email approximately 7-10 days later. Keeping record of your PID number is encouraged. If you do not receive this contact the Extended studies office at CSU-Pueblo.

Step 4: Once your coursework is submitted to your provider and they’ve sent us your grade, we will enter it. This process can take up to 14 business days.

Step 5: A notification will NOT be sent out when your grade is transcribed, rather, you can periodically check your unofficial transcripts on your Student PAWS account to see when the grade is posted.

Step 6: To log in to your PAWS account, please see the instructions provided in the email you received with your PID number.

Step 7: Official Transcripts can also be ordered through your Student PAWS account.
