3 Graduate Credit Hours (ED500)

Catalog Description:

Many of us have a competitive nature and want to succeed in all we do. As teachers, our competitive nature may come out in our desire to win in the classroom; achieve student success. Teachers want to create a classroom of strong culture, positive mindset, build meaningful relationships and improve teamwork, all at the highest level of learning.

Great leaders take a look at all of their successes, failures, victories and errors. From these lessons we, as teachers, can learn how to better develop, mentor and encourage our students to continue to try to improve themselves and others around them.

In this course we will discover how to push ourselves and our students to focus on the process not the outcome, because this is how we grow. Great teachers dive into areas that are not always easy but, beneficial to our classrooms. This class will explore just how to make that dive by focusing in on the important “C”s that define our Classroom; Culture, Contagious, Consistency, Communication, Connection, Care, Creativity, Commitment, Character, Coach and Community.
