Grade will be posted as S/U (Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory) and is coded as graduate credit on transcripts. 


Course Description: This course is for classroom teachers looking to put a fresh spin on everyday lessons! Learn innovative ways to facilitate exciting learning experiences for your students. Create your own playbook of simple, low-prep strategies to make learning fun and meaningful (even on a Thursday afternoon in January). Who knew worksheets and lectures could be so interactive, collaborative, engaging, rigorous, and smile-inducing?


Course Objectives:


  • Analyze best educator practices

  • Identify your areas of strength and areas of focus when looking at instruction

  • Compare and contrast different ways to present new information to students

  • Examine alternate grading strategies

  • Research and collect activities to enhance everyday learning

  • Apply innovative strategies to your classroom

  • Reflect and evaluate the impact of techniques and strategies on student learning
