Course Description: This comprehensive course is designed to equip educators with the tools to effectively support students with ADHD. The course will cover essential topics, starting with identifying ADHD and understanding its impact on learning and behavior. Participants will explore how ADHD can affect classroom performance, including challenges related to focus, impulse control, and organization. Through this course, learners will gain practical knowledge of classroom interventions, instructional strategies, and behavioral management techniques tailored to meet the needs of students with ADHD. Emphasis will be placed on fostering self-regulation skills, promoting positive peer relationships, and integrating technology to enhance learning. By the end of the course, participants will have a toolkit of evidence-based strategies to create an ADHD-friendly classroom environment, learning, and overall success for students with ADHD.

Course Objectives:
Identify the key characteristics and symptoms of ADHD in students of all ages, including its impact on learning and behavior.
Understand the underlying neurological and psychological factors contributing to ADHD and how they affect classroom performance.
Analyze the challenges ADHD presents in a learning environment and the implications for academic achievement and classroom behavior.
Evaluate various classroom interventions and instructional strategies that support students with ADHD.
Apply evidence-based behavior management techniques and self-regulation strategies to foster positive behavior and academic success.
Develop strategies for improving peer relationships and social interactions among students with ADHD.
Integrate technology and resources that support ADHD students’ focus, organization, and engagement.
Create individualized learning plans that incorporate ADHD-friendly strategies for diverse classroom settings.
