Catalog Description: Teachers are some of the most amazing humans on the planet. The amount of time, thought, planning and delivering of online content for the 2020-2021 school year was nothing short of a miracle. Teachers are heroes to so many students. Teachers are now overwhelmed by the changes and struggling to maintain an empowering and energizing mindset. This course provides a follow-up to preparing for pandemic teaching and further provides work towards positive mindsets and practical strategies to help EVERY educator! Exercises in this course will motivate and re-energize you, strategically reduce time spent on "extra" duties, regain balance between your school and home life, and easily integrate mindfulness into your daily life.
Required Text(s) and Other Materials: All materials will be provided by the instructor in the learning management system portal.
Identify strategies to manage teacher workload and mindsets to eliminate being overwhelmed
Positively manage behavior in class and online Identify barriers of innovation
Establish skills of distance instructors
Cultivate class community with students on campus, at home, or both
Connect with other professionals within PLC communities

Explore updated and best practices for functional and engaging LMS to act as a virtual classroom.
Reduce busy work and prioritize curriculum that engages students
Determine what applications are best fit for educational needs to distance learners
Explore strategies for providing instruction online, collecting formative assessment data, differentiating learning for students at different levels, and developing a learning community online.
